Weekly News Report

Many interesting stories this week...

What's the deal, NBC? Are you apologizing that people were offended or apologizing that you did it in the first place?

Oh, such a slippery slope we've formed for ourselves. Preemptive attacks, policing the world, yadda yadda. And THIS is why we're high-tailing it out of the military. Free healthcare is nothing compared to being shipped off to fight wars that put us into debt and produce NOTHING but dead soldiers and further debt.

MY FAVORITE STORY IN SUCH A LONG TIME! While I don't drink, smoke, or gamble... this is such a sweet story.

And THIS is why I'm a vegetarian. As if raising and subsequently killing an animal as a means to an end weren't enough... now let's use them as organ donors against their will. Did God really want us to use His creations as pancreas mules? Besides religion, is it right and fair? I get it. You have diabetes and you're in need of an organ. But will you go to any length? Meat-eaters probably won't understand my huge objection and that's okay. It just makes me so upset for these innocent creatures.

You heard it here: I sincerely dislike Michelle Bachmann to such a burning, horrible degree.

That's all, folks. Very little these days now that Anthony Weiner decided to not be such a.... I guess that joke is overplayed now.

  1. Of all the awesome things I could post on here, I'm going to comment on the animal organ donor thing. :) BECAUSE! I recently watched a NatGeo thing on a new technology we are developing. They have discovered that every one of our organs has a "skeleton" made of proteins (well they already knew that part) BUT, NOW we know that they can kill off all the live cells from around it and leave the "skeleton" unharmed. THEN. They can take a sample of OUR OWN CELLS and GROW them on the skeleton that they have, and GROW YOU A WHOLE NEW ORGAN THAT IS AN EXACT GENETIC COPY OF YOUR OWN. They basically regrow your liver if it fails, or your heart if it fails. Lungs, Kidneys, the works. Everything except for the brain I believe.. And there's no chance of rejection because it's your own organ. Actually a pretty remarkable feat :) But now it introduces ideas of immortality, if we can just keep replacing all our organs. Only thing we can't overcome is the degeneration of the brain, should that occur.
